Lot’s of New Snow!
Winter is here and at my home we received 14 inches as of 6:00 AM. Very dry and fluffy powder and very cold. The temperature is a balmy 10 degrees with a forecasted high of about 13. We are still under a winter storm warning until 10:00 tonight with predicted additional accumulations of between 10-20 inches! This should get all of our resort in good shap not only with the new natural snow but it is allowing snow-making operations to run full tilt 24 hours a day.
Looking ahead it appears that Lake Tahoe will have off and on snow throughout the week with a reinforcing shot of even colder air midweek and into the weekend. Another significant storm may hit the Lake Tahoe basin and High Sierra over the weekend and into next week. It could be a very stormy Christmas!
We will post some snow photos later this morning so we don’t look like liars!
