Sun Drenched Trails are right outside your door! Almost all of our South Lake Tahoe vacation rentals are lucky enough to either have trails right outside the door or just minutes away. Hike, run or ride your bike either at a leisurely pace or for a heart pumping good time. If you visit frequently, you may think you have hit all the trails, but TAMBA (The Tahoe Area Mountain Bike Association) has been in charge of creating multiple new trails all across the South Shore. Be sure to visit their website if you are looking for some new trails.
Eat, Drink & Be Merry! Lake Tahoe may not have the food scene of a major city, but we have had some pretty great new additions recently that are really bringing their A Game. Whether you are looking at South Lake Tahoe vacation rentals down by the Y or close to the casinos, we have multiple newer spots that are worth checking out, as well as restaurants that are constantly revamping their menu thanks to new chefs and culinary talent. Dinner On The Water. Speaking of food, you can get creative and enjoy a dinner and a cruise on the M.S. Dixie II. This is an activity we have recommended many times before, and for good reason. Whether you are staying in vacation rentals in South Lake Tahoe close by or our in Christmas Valley, this is a family friendly activity that allows you to eat and take in the gorgeous views out on the water. It is also the perfect activity all year. Be sure to pack your camera to snap some photos!
Get in some turns on the mountain! If you come to Tahoe for the snow, you may be able to spend some time on the mountain during this time of year. Mt. Rose has already opened and thanks to Heavenly Mountain’s snowmaking system, you may be able to ski and snowboard as early as November 16th on the South Shore! One of the great things about staying in vacation rentals in South Lake Tahoe is the close proximity to so many local ski resorts. The après ski scene here is pretty great too!
