Free Weekly Concerts on the South Shore
Every summer, I used to take the beautiful drive up the west shore of Lake Tahoe to end up at Commons Beach in Tahoe City. This is where they hosted a free Summer Concert at the Beach. It was a weekly event where it brought together friends, local businesses, a wine picnic from home and high spirited energy. For the longest time, I had hoped the South Shore would be able to come together and enjoy the summer evenings this way too. Now, I am excited to say, Lakeview Commons will be hosting Live at Lakeview beginning in June.
The series will kick off with Dead Winter Carpenters on June 28th and the concerts will be held every Thursdays. Hopefully, this will push tourists into the area earlier than the weekend which will be great for our local businesses. The area can hold a little over 2,000 people and will feature food, drinks and craft vendors. Rob Giustina, the owner of On Course Events also hopes for local performers to open for each show. “I wanted to be proactive in saving our community,” Giustina said. This event will be free to the public. So, as a community, let’s go out, show support and participate in this wonderful event!
