Health, safety and fitness are big topics right now in light of various Stay At Home orders due to Covid-19. Once the restrictions are lifted, people are still going to be very mindful of these, especially as they begin to travel away from their homes. While international travel may be delayed a bit longer, we know people are chomping at the bit to get back up to the lake. While we can’t wait to welcome you all back once it is safe to do so, we are looking at how we operate to make sure we can provide you with the safest and healthiest experience at our Lake Tahoe vacation rentals. While we already have stringent cleaning policies in place before and after every single check in, we are working to make sure that we can build upon our already strict guidelines. It is our duty to our homeowners, guests and vendors to make sure each and every vacation rental in Lake Tahoe that we manage is sanitized, clean and safe. There are tips that guests and homeowners can take to further their goals of having a healthy and active experience. Check them out below.
Know Your Health Status before you travel. If you have just been traveling to other areas, work in healthcare or have been exposed to any flu or virus, rescheduling is something that should be considered. Especially if you are traveling in a large group. The more people who are infected with something contagious are traveling about a small community like Lake Tahoe, the more widespread a flu or virus can become. With Lake Tahoe having smaller hospitals and limited medical support, it is better for both you, your fellow travelers and locals to stay home until you feel better. Our mountain town will still be here. Because we are a smaller, locally owned company, we are able to be flexible with rescheduling.
Know where the local hospitals and urgent care locations are in the event that you contract something during your trip. The earlier you seek medical attention, the quicker you can combat it, keep your travel group safe and return to your fun vacation. Our Lake Tahoe vacation rentals are conveniently located all throughout town and minutes from various medical resources.
Protect your skin! Lake Tahoe is at a high elevation and gets a LOT of sun all year round. Pack your SPF and use it frequently. Also be sure to pack EPA-registered insect repellents. This is the mountains which means we have various bugs and spiders. While a majority of them are harmless, it is best to prevent bites and any infections that could happen as a result.
Pack for a healthy trip. While most of our Lake Tahoe vacation rentals come with a First Aid Kit, it is always good to have one on hand during your travels. Be sure to pack your nutritional supplements, vitamins, prescription medications and over the counter medications.
Stay active! Likely if you are looking at Lake Tahoe vacation rentals, you are coming to enjoy the various outdoor mountain activities, most of which require some form of movement combined with fresh air. If keeping up a certain fitness routine is important, we have several different gyms, studios and trainers that service the Lake Tahoe basin. Feel free to ask ahead of booking if your vacation rental in Lake Tahoe comes with gym equipment so you can plan accordingly.
We love helping people feel like locals during their getaways to our lake, but we also want everyone to feel healthy so they can enjoy their time. We can’t wait to start welcoming our guests again. In the meantime, if you would like to book a vacation rental for later this summer or fall, feel free to visit our website or give us a call. We’d be happy to help.
